Payments from abroad: foreign-currency account and payment codes
The foreign-currency account, the inflow purpose code (302, 305…), the documents your bank asks for and SEPA payments in euros.
In short
You need a foreign-currency account to get paid in foreign currency. For each payment the bank asks for the basis (code) of the inflow, e.g. 302 for computer services or 305 for consulting, and may ask for the invoice or contract. Until you give it, the money waits. Since May 2026, Serbian banks also receive SEPA euro transfers.
When: With every payment from abroad
What to do
When the bank tells you a payment arrived, send it the basis code and the invoice. Download the list of foreign-currency invoices with dinar values under Reports. For regular payments up to €1,000 you can give the bank a standing basis instruction.
